Update On the United Airlines "Dragging" Incident

I'm sure we all remember that one 2017 news story that went viral regarding the elderly Asian man, Dr. David Dao, who was physically dragged off a United Airlines flight.

​The world was disgusted, and rightfully so, at the way Dr. Dao was treated. Whether or not the mistreatment was due to his race is up to you to debate, but we thought we'd update you on the situation:

Some facts:

• Dao was "randomly selected" to give up his seat on an overbooked flight
• The confrontation gave Dao a concussion and broken nose and teeth
• The police officer who dragged him has just been fired
• The officer has suffered a substantial loss of earnings and retirement benefits
• United Airlines has reportedly paid Dao $140 million in damages
